Transportation is by far the biggest hurdle when staying on the Isle of Palms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ubers and Lyfts often refuse to come pick up visitors<\/strong> who are staying there so you will most likely have to schedule taxis far in advance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a couple of ways to remedy this situation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, because of its low maximum speed, it is not an efficient way to travel more than a mile<\/strong> or two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isle of Palms Restaurants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is because there are not a ton of restaurants<\/strong> in Isle of Palms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there are still some good options for when you want to stay close:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A great spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Acme Lowcountry Kitchen offers southern coastal cuisine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Long Island Cafe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Serving lunch and dinner for almost 30 years, the Long Island Cafe is an IOP staple. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their seafood-centric menu also offers beef, chicken and pasta, ensuring there\u2019s something for everyone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also offer a delicious Sunday brunch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isle of Palms Entertainment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As one of the most sought after beach destinations on the East Coast, the Isle of Palms has plenty to offer when it comes to entertainment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beach<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Isle of Palms Beach is over seven miles long, offering a great place for swimming, lounging, fishing, biking and kayaking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also convenient public restrooms, parking, restaurants and shops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golf<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Wild Dunes has two beautiful 18-hole golf courses, the Links Course and the Harbor Course. Both are designed by Tom Fazio and open to the public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also several more public golf courses in the Charleston area, including Patriots Point, Kiawah\u2019s several courses and the Municipal Course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
